Zeno-Transit Initiative
From Fringepedia - The FRINGE wiki
In Pilot, the word "Zeno" can be clearly seen on the side of Olivia's uncle's kayak, just above The Circles.
| This page contains semi-canon information. Semi-canon, or partial canon, describes information garnered from sources other than the originally aired episode... sources that are likely to contain references and material provided by both the Creative-Staff and by persons officially associated with the production, distribution, marketing, etc… While it is fully expected that the Creative-Staff had some input into the semi-canon source, FringePedia does not consider the information a part of, or an augmentation to the FRINGE storyline. Explicit communication from the Creative-Staff on any specific semi-canon issue, is the only method to elevate semi-canon to canon, or FringePedia fact. |

Overview
The Zeno-Transit Initiative is supposedly part of Massive Dynamic's research and development section, responsible for the development of technologies which would allow the near-instantaneous transportation of objects or people. In other words, they are developing teleportation technology.
Trivia
Etymology
Zeno of Elea was a Greek philosopher who is thought to have lived between 490 and 430 BC. He is best known for his paradoxes, which are primarily concerned with physics and motion.
He theorized that for a person to reach a given point, they have to travel to an infinite number of "half-way" points in order to reach their goal; since it is impossible for a person to complete an infinite number of tasks, they will never reach the goal.
