Schrodinger's Cat
Peter is both alive and dead... which is interesting from the perspective of having a consistent page because the story of the disease and events when he was young likely refer to the dead Peter whereas other events of his adult life refer to the Peter still alive.--LabgoTalk|Contribs 03:14, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
- We are probably better off treating "Dead Peter" as a footnote unless events (such as Peter visiting his own grave?) teach us otherwise.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jim in Georgia (talk • contribs) .
Dead Peter
What if we refer to dead Peter as Peter Bishop I with a separate section on the page and living Peter as Peter Bishop II with another section for his bio. Until we know more about how these two Peters differ (clones, alternative universe versions, etc.) we have to act as though they are two separate people.--Vreddy92 23:40, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
- I that case "Peter I" has never appeared on the show. Let's wait.--Jim in Georgia Talk Contribs 17:35, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
Unanswered Questions
I removed some of the unanswered questions because they were either answered, (What does Peter's medical history contain?) or silly (How did Peter know Nina would be at the equestrian center?) or never brought up in the first place and should go in theories (Was Reiden Lake the icy lake that Peter fell into as a child?). I also removed "Is alter-Peter from the same alternate universe that William Bell is in, or did he come from a different alternate universe?" because the TPTB have confirmed only one alt-universe.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Zate77 (talk • contribs) ., 08:47 15 January 2010 (local)
- -"Why did Peter leave home for Europe just before Walter checked into St. Claire's?" This and the following subheads are inconsistent with the timeline. Walter was committed to St. Claire's approximately 1991, at which time Peter was about 13. Peter left for Europe approximately 2000, shortly before Elizabeth Bishop's death, which he describes as "10 years ago" in 2010. --jophan 23:20, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
- - Agreed. He moved to Allston (a Boston suburb) with Elizabeth after Walter went all wonky. Peter reports that about ten years later: I think he wants to talk to me about how my mother died. About a month after I got to Europe, I got a call from Saint Claire's... from Walter. He told me that she died in a car crash. It wasn't a car crash. My mother committed suicide. It was the only time I spoke to him in the seventeen years that he was locked up in Saint Claire's. –DocH– my edits 01:12, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
Regarding Peter's memory loss about his childhood, I wouldn't be surprised if that turned out to be due to a deliberate act on Walter's part, possibly with his wife's complicity. A seven year old has enough understanding of his culture that Peter's adaptation would have been difficult. We saw the Challenger poster (Dream Logic) and the Nixon silver dollar Jacksonville). I remember, in second grade, being angry when taught an alternate phrasing of a mnemonic poem I had already learned elsewhere; imagine what life would be like for a child for whom these differences would appear repeatedly. --jophan 00:01, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
Even More Peters?
I don't remember which episode it was, but it was in Season 1. I think early on. At the end of one of the episodes we see what appears to be at least 3 Peter's in some sort of stasis. I think the episode was There's More Than One of Everything but I didn't see any mention of it. I expected the episode Peter that they would cover this again, but it wasn't covered. So either I imagined the original image or just thought more of it then anyone else has. Can anyone shed any light on this for me? Thanks! - Jim McKeeth 07:25, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
- - Can you please clarify this? I'm not sure what the 3 Peter in There's More Than One of Everything. Are you referring to the 2nd episode - Same Old Story? -- Xerophytes Talk | Contribs 09:13, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
- - Yeah, you completely imagined it. Those were Penrose clones from the closng scenes of ep102, not Bishops or ep120. –DocH– my edits 22:27, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
- - You are correct DocH, thanks for clarifying that. - Jim McKeeth 03:10, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
