The Arrival

Born: 21 August, 1912
Died: 11 December, 1944
Age: 32 years, 3.7 months

As Peter is being paraded through a cemetery by the assassin intent on recovering the Beacon, a flashlight quickly studies the grave marker of a Robert Bishop. John Mosley comments to Peter - "Shame you never met him. Come on. Dig."

The Bishop Revival

Walter reveals that his father, Robert, changed his last name from Bischoff when he left Europe in 1943 and moved to the West. Peter had believed that his grandfather moved in 1933. Walter admits that was a deception, as his father was involved with advanced science and experimentation for the fascist dictatorship in power. However, his father was a spy for the Allies, sabotaging Axis research, and smuggling scientific information to the Americans. Robert was nicknamed Das Seepferdchen (the seahorse) because he was a great swimmer, and recognized as a scientific pioneer at the University of Berlin.

Walter initially recognized the attacks on the crowds, targeting specific genetic markers, as a product of his fathers' science research. Once Peter had retrieved most of the books of Walter's that he had sold, it appeared that Robert Bishop's lab notes were not used in the deadly attacks at the wedding and in the diner.
